Since its inception in 1986, lawyers representing plaintiffs and defendants have retained CCA to evaluate case materials and claimants, and to testify, if necessary, as an expert witness in court proceedings or other forums. The most frequent expert analyses CCA performs relate to issues involving vocational rehabilitation, life care planning, and rehabilitation psychology. In family law cases, CCA typically assesses earning capacity for purposes related to the imputation of alimony. CCA expertise is most often sought in disputes related to personal injury, medical malpractice, marriage dissolution, employment law, product liability, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
