Deborah Hilby, M.A.

Deborah Hilby is a vocational rehabilitation associate at Career Consultants of America, Inc (CCA).  At Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, she earned her bachelor’s degree in health and human sciences and her master's degree in rehabilitation counseling. Ms. Hilby is a certified rehabilitation counselor, certified life care planner, and certified vocational evaluator.  Additionally, she is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and on the organization’s forensic board.     

 

Ms. Hilby’s experience includes providing expert witness services and case management related to vocational, life care planning, and rehabilitation issues.  She is copublished and has presented at rehabilitation conferences.  Further, she has been involved in shadowing and assisting vocational rehabilitation counselors and case managers in the workers’ compensation sector, in addition to working as a direct support personnel member with individuals who have developmental disabilities.  Since completing her internship with CCA, Ms. Hilby has continued to increase her knowledge and understanding of life care planning and vocational rehabilitation at CCA.
